Town Government: The Town of Wake Forest is led by a term-mayor, and five board of commissioners. All seats are elected, with the Mayor and Board of Commissioners each serving four-year terms. Wake Forest Communications Division: The Town of Wake Forest has a special Communications Division, that is in charge of communicating important government and emergency information to the residents. They act as a public relations division as well, sending out newsletters, email, and other publications to owners of Wake Forest real estate, to inform them of upcoming events. Wake Forest Public Works: The Public Works department takes pride in keeping the Wake Forest community clean. Their services consist of the electric, road, sanitation, and cemetery. Police Department and Public Safety: Thanks to a responsive and professional police force, residents in the Wake Forest community can be sure they are safe and protected.  Other than 911 emergencies, the police can be contacted for non-emergency related calls at: (919) 554-6150.

Fire Department: The town of Wake Forest has a staff of dedicated fire fighters, serving the area full-time to protect Wake Forst Apartments, Wake Forest homes, and other Wake Forest real estate. Social Services: To access social service programs, residents of Wake Forest utilize those offered through the City of Raleigh. The Raleigh community has a Division of Social Services (DSS), which services all of the Raleigh and Wake Forest residents, families and children. They offer various programs and services, including, among others: adoption services, child protective services, child support enforcement, food and nutrition services, and refugee and foster care.
