Special Opportunities for Wake Forest Community Students:

North Carolina has very strict competency standards, as detailed in the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. This ensures that your children will get an unparalleled education at the Wake Forest community schools. Additionally, there is a Magnet Schools program available in nearby Raleigh.

Beginning in 1982, the Magnet schools program in Raleigh and the surrounding communities has helped many students excel.  Wake County now offers a variety of magnet options for students, including but not limited to schools focusing on the Creative Arts and Sciences, International Studies, Active Learning and Technology, or Museums; programs for the Gifted and Talented, International Baccalaureate, University Connections, and Montessori; and schools with a Center For Spanish Language/IBPYP.

Parents wishing to send their children to a Magnet school, must apply. To do so, visit: http://www.wcpss.net/magnet/index.html.

Wake Forest Schools’ Achievements:

North Carolina and Wake County in particular, take education very seriously. Which is a reason Wake Forest real estate is in such demand. In fact, the students at Wake County schools have consistently scored higher than the state average on the writing tests. These scores have continued to improve every year, which is an incredible accomplishment for both students and teachers alike.

The graduation rate for Wake Forest community students is higher than other areas of North Carolina. The graduation rate was 79.3% in 2007, a dramatic ten points higher than the state average. Even with such an outstanding graduation rate, the Wake County Board of Education is pushing its district to reach for a 90% graduation rate by 2013 and 95% by 2015.

Few districts can surpass the dedication of the Wake County Public Schools System to providing the best education possible for all of its students from Wake Forest, Raleigh, and other communities.  For more information on Wake County Public Schools, check out their website at http://www.wcpss.net/.

With such stellar schools, its no wonder that Wake Forest real estate is attracting families from across the United States.
